Additional osteoporosis community café planned after Midlothian event fills up

By Press Office

夜色直播, Edinburgh is running an additional Osteoporosis Community Caf茅 in Midlothian after its first local event proved so popular that it reached full capacity and attracted a waiting list.

The repeat session will take place on Tuesday 13 October, from 2pm to 4pm at Midlothian Community Hospital, Dalkeith, giving people who were unable to attend the September caf茅 another opportunity to take part.

The Lydia Osteoporosis Community Caf茅s bring together people living with osteoporosis or osteopenia, as well as their families and carers, in a welcoming and informal setting. Attendees can learn more about bone health, ask questions, share experiences and connect with others over a cup of tea or coffee.

More than half of the available places have already been allocated to people on the September waiting list, with a limited number of spaces still available.

We were delighted by the enthusiastic response to our first Midlothian Community Caf茅. The demand highlights the need for accessible local support for people living with osteoporosis. Our caf茅s provide a friendly space where people can meet others with shared experiences, gain practical information and feel better connected. We're pleased to be able to offer this additional session for those who missed out the first time.
